SATURDAY

daddy came to pick me up from hall after my practical exam! mummy, him and i then headed to yum cha at chinatown for dim sum lunch before heading to ang mo kio to choose curtains for my room and get groceries for the next few weeks in hall.. exams' starting and i don't think i'll be going home that often, so the groceries will have to last me for at least 3 weeks!
after all the shopping for necessities at amk hub, we headed home and not long after, out for dinner again. we went to chomp chomp at serangoon gardens! was craving for food there so daddy brought us there for dinner! thanks daddy! =D
after dinner, i watched tv, lazed around and waited for him to come pick me up!
that night was a dress-down night organised by him!
apparently we were supposed to dress in a very unglam fashion =X
so there he was in a collared casual tee with his white OCS pants, while i wore an orange tee from open house + aj fbts + ugly specs + messy hair. and he said he looked worse... where got!!
so according to his itinery, our first stop was to the prata place at mandai.. BUT it closed by the time we reached (it closes at 12am and we reached at 11.55pm =( ).. so we headed to the one at casuarina.. BUT.. it was closed too =( nd finally, it was back to the 24 hours jalan kayu prata! we had a kosong each and shared a strawberry prata.. the ones at the prata place still tastes much better =( oh well!
the 2nd stop was the seletar dam! we had to digest the prata so he drove us there for a stroll! that place is really nice i tell you! though the drive to the dam was dark, misty and scary, the dam was soooo nice and it feels like some exclusive place cuz not many knows about it! we've been there once before and it was more windy and had lesser people the previous time.. so we walked, talked and when the food went down a little, we headed to the 3rd stop!
durians!!
my favourite!! =D
he brought us to geylang using his friend's super cool handphone navigator! it not only shows you the route to take, it tells you things like "after 400m, turn left" and "turn left here"! so cool right!
there were a few durian stalls and we choose the further end one.. but according to my daddy, we didn't know how to buy durians.. i was telling him that we bought a small durian that only had 3 pieces in it and cost $18 and he said "so expensive??" hahas.. except for the part that the durian shell had worms in it(yikes! was really gross!), the fruit itself was not bad! =)
and i ate 2 =X
he kept looking at me eat the 2nd durian, i think he just wanted to see how unglam i can be! =X
i've officially added durian into the list of food items not to be eaten in front of guys! =S
then he drove us to some alley to see some scenes(in geylang, so maybe u could make a guess what we went to check out!) i haven't seen before.. it was indeed an eye-opener.. quite scary though!
and finally, we headed home! wished i could have more time with him =(

SUNDAY

went for brunch - pow sing chicken rice, with family and headed to church!
but before church, it told daddy about the seletar dam that he brought me to and daddy decided to check that place out too!
i think the whole place looks better in the morning.. it looked so serene, green and peaceful.. if i have the money, i think i'd like to stay in one of those colonial looking bungalows there next time!
and i realised just this morning that i've been to the country club overlooking the dam before! was during tim's birthday party which was held at the country club 3/4 years back i think, when he brought me to look at the golf course overlooking the dam! i could still remember how beautiful it looked from there!
daddy drove around to explore the area a little then sent carmen and i to the bus-stop to head to church!
after church we had steamboat dinner( with kor as well! =D) together with some of my favourite dishes at home before daddy sent me back to hall again =( nothing beats home-cooked food with the whole family sitting together having dinner!
i'm starting to miss home again =(

"i'll never know how much it costs,
to see my sins upon that cross"
rattles on..
